Roughly 300,000 Texans live with chronic Hepatitis C. Until last
October, there was only one drug widely prescribed to treat this
debilitating virus that often results in severe liver disease.
But a San Antonio woman took a chance on a new treatment and says it's changed her life.
5 Eyewitness News talked to Danielle Allen in December, about a year
after she first took part in a clinical trial for Harvoni. She said it
changed her life in a matter of weeks, and she's still Hepatitis free.
