LEWISTON — “Living with Viral Hepatitis” is the subject of a special
program set for Saturday, March 23, at Central Maine Medical Center.
Lindsay Ventura, community outreach and education manager for the New
England division of the American Liver Foundation, will discuss the
liver and its functions as well as provide a clear comparison of
hepatitis A, B and C. The discussion will be geared for those who either
have the hepatitis C virus or are at risk for contracting the virus.
The program will cover information regarding risks, treatment options
and living with hepatitis C.
Ventura holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology and education from
Northeastern University in Boston. She previously worked as a research
assistant in the Division of Preventive Medicine at Boston’s Brigham and
Women’s Hospital.
