DELHI: Drugmaker Mylan Pharmaceuticals today launched generic
Sofosbuvir tablets, indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C,
in the country.
US-based company's Indian arm Mylan NV has
launched generic Sofosbuvir tablets in strength of 400 mg under the name
MyHep in the country, it said in a statement.
"The launch of
Mylan's MyHep offers hope to millions of hepatitis C patients in India
who are in need of a high quality, effective and affordable treatment
